that may benefit them in the technology transfer process. This allows companies
to leverage WTN strategic partnerships to their own benefit and gain an outstanding
complement of services. Examples and a list of WTN strategic partnerships are

THE ENTREPRENEURS CENTER (TEC), INC.
AN EDISON TECHNOLOGY INCUBATOR -- Unique in the Miami Valley, the TEC
researches, identifies, teaches, and disseminates the critical skills and
values that enable entrepreneurs to succeed. It fosters and maintains a
network of successful technology-based entrepreneurs for self-help and
peer support in the nine county region.
GREAT LAKES INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY CENTER (GLITEC) -
WRIGHT TECHNOLOGY NETWORK (WTN) COLLABORATION --
GLITeC-WTN Collaboration is a technology transfer alliance that coordinates
capabilities, expertise, and networks to increase each organization's impact.
GLITeC is the technology transfer intermediary for the NASA Glenn Research
Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
OFFICE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT TECHNOLOGY COMMERCIALZATION (OLETC) -- The OLETC was established to develop and deploy an active, broad based national program to assist in the commercialization of innovative technology for use by the law enforcement and corrections community.
OHIO DEPARTMENT OF DEVELOPMENT (ODOD) AND THE THOMAS
EDISON PROGRAM --
Ohio's Thomas Edison Program is a bipartisan initiative that effectively
brings together technology providers and users to create commercial opportunities.
Many Ohio companies have seen significant increases in sales, profits and market
share due to the Edison Program.
OHIO DEPARTMENT OF REHABILITATION & CORRECTIONS (ODRC) --
WTN supports ODRC and the Ohio Corrections Technology Network (OCTN) under a
memorandum of understanding among AFRL, NASA Glenn Research Center, and ODRC.
OCTN is an association of Ohio corrections and law enforcement agencies led by
ODRC. OCTN identifies common problems that could be remedied by application of
innovative technologies.
SIMULATION BASED ACQUISTION (SimBA) CONSORTIUM --
A coalition of local companies to build a working approach to implement the DoD vision of Simulation Based Acquisition (SBA) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB).
U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY (USEPA) ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY
COMMERCIALIZATION CENTER (ETC2) --
WTN, as a subcontractor to Battelle Memorial Institute, Columbus, Ohio provides
support to ETC2 , which is funded by the USEPA. WTN provides technical
expertise in support of the transfer and commercialization of EPA-developed technology
and facilitates technical interchanges between Air Force Research Laboratory
(AFRL) and USEPA.
WTN PARTNERSHIP WITH INDIANA --
Indiana Business Modernization and Technology Corporation (BMT) and
WTN have established a collaborative partnership for marketing Air Force
Research Laboratory (AFRL) technology in the State of Indiana.
Establishment of the WTN-Indiana node fosters the matching of Air Force
technology resources to meet the needs of Indiana businesses.
WTN PARTNERSHIP WITH KENTUCKY --
The Manufacturing Technology Transfer Center (MTTC) provides Kentucky companies
with access to Air Force technologies and technical assistance through a
memorandum with WTN. MTTC is operated by Innovative Productivity, Inc.
for the US Navy.
WTN PARTNERSHIP WITH MINNESOTA --
MTI and WTN are establishing a collaborative partnership to link Air Force
Research Laboratory (AFRL) technologies and resources to Minnesota companies.
