WORKING TOGETHER - MVMEC field engineers work with owners, managers and workforce representatives in a professional and collegial manner. Confidentiality is assured. INDIVIDUALIZED ASSISTANCE - MVMEC assisted projects can range from several hours of no charge consulting services to affordable, comprehensive improvement programs. MVMEC technical specialists work with the company to define the scope of work and the required resources. Every project is formalized in a written agreement. MVMEC is a regional resource for southwest Ohio manufacturers. The Center is part of a national network - the Manufacturing Extension Partnership-created to serve small and medium-sized manufacturers. Through this integrated national system as well as a host of local resources, MVMEC helps your firm upgrade manufacturing practices, improve processes, and strengthen business performance.

MVMEC GOAL To increase the competitive advantage of manufacturing industries in southwest Ohio.

MVMEC PRODUCT The tenet of the MVMEC is to serve as southwest Ohio’s one stop shop for all services and assistance pertaining to manufacturing and business operations for small and medium-sized enterprises, including defense dependent firms desiring to transition to commercial markets. A Partnership For Competitiveness

The nucleus of the Miami Valley Manufacturing Extension Center consists of the Edison Materials Technology Center and the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Sciences. These two organizations, which have a history of serving Ohio’s industrial needs, have joined with an extensive base of resource providers to serve as a focal point for manufacturing assistance. MVMEC is sponsored by both the federal government and the State of Ohio, as well as private industry. The National Institute of Standards and Technology, an agency of the Department of Commerce, supports MVMEC through its network of Manufacturing Extension Partnerships. The Ohio Department of Development supports MVMEC through its network of Edison Technology Centers.
