Business Overview or History:
Ergonomics, Inc. was founded in 1993 to take advantage of new technologies to develop improved ambulation aids, such as crutches, canes, and walkers. In particular, new fiber-matrix composite materials technologies enable lighter and more durable ambulation aids with more aesthetically pleasing designs and improved mechanical shock and vibration characteristics. Ergonomics, Inc., has had a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory since 1995. This CRADA, which was arranged through Wright Technology Network, has led to the development and testing of a series of attractive prototypes.
